ooo I like the sounds of agility
But what about a leash? Think I could get it to work while hes on a leash?

Unfortunatley every single agility book I've read says in order to train ajility, they must be firm off leash.Originally Posted by king2005

Is there a yard you can train him in?
Off leash isn't the problem, its the law. Pit bulls have to be muzzled & on a max/ length of a 6 foot leash...Originally Posted by Suki Wingy
But if the pitty can be off leash & not muzzled for flyball I'd love to put him that, cause DANG can he ever run! & then I don't have to spend $$ on agility stuff.
the only problem is that I am not sure if the flyball clause affects new dogs in training or only competing dogs, I know it originally only applied to competing dogs but NAFA was working to get around that last I heard.

agility would not be possible either at least as far as I know. You might be able to find a school that is willing to let you take classes with a muzzeled dog but you would never be able to compete or take more advanced classes as all agility dogs must run naked...meaning no leashes, collars, tags, or anything like that, the only exception to that is CKC agility which allows dogs to run with collars but no tags.

Thanks Amy for the great sig!
