Kelowna Meeting?

I'm up for that as I live in New Westminster. Like I was saying to Ash, maybe wait until our weather is better and there is no threat of rain. Then the three of us could get together and maybe Shelteez2 if she can make the trek. If we do plan one down here, I'll start another thread as there are other locals (Naomi) who might want to attend.

I don't think it would be doable for me as Vancouver is I believe a 12 hour drive..... quite far for a weekend trip... and I can't get any time off in June I don't think. Definitely none in May....

Well - the office I work at goes into shutdown for several weeks in July - but that is a VERY VERY busy time at the boarding kennel!

Still, if it was just for a long weekend and we all met in the middle in Kelowna, that could work! I am off Sat -Sun

IE - we could make ANY weekend a long one, though I do have the Mondays off on the REAL ones.

AHH, I need to get the internet so I can see these things! lol. I would LOOOVE to have another meeting. We just can't have it at the campsite like the other meeting was --- lately too many bad things have been happening with dogs up there --- Attacks, people getting hurt, etc.

However, I wouldn't mind hosting a get-together at my house. I don't have the nicest house in the world (LOL), but it's a big back yard, and definatly enough room for dogs and a barbecue. Ashley has already talked to me about staying at my place, and I would love for anyone else to stay. We could have a big slumber party lol. I have lots of room, everyone let me know if they need a place to stay.

Is that a plan? We don't have to have abarbecue at my place, if everyone would rather go to the dog park, that is fine too.

Now all we need is a date --- Ashley mentioned May long weekend, I believe that is the weekend of mine and Visa's obedience trial, which I really can't miss as I'd like to get her CD title on her this year. I'm going to confirm whether or not it is that weekend. Everything else I have with Visa so far is in April or not until or after July.

Well, I am on the cat side, so dog park is not a big deal for me. I'd rather stay in the house, if that is ok! (Won't bring the kitties though! LOL)

Again, July works the best for me so far.

It seems like May is only good for us though. My obedience trial isn't that weekend. What month is best for everyone? Should we have two meetings or what...lol....

May long wknd likely works for me...is that the weekend of the 20th? If it is, I have a gig Sat night...but I might also have to to go Vancouver as an artist is releasing a CD around then that has one of my songs on it. Waiting to hear about that date.

Maybe two meetings would be better? Or I will just PM when I am coming there and see if anyone else wants to show up?

It's the 20th, 21st, 22nd --- Ashley is pretty sure she's coming that weekend -- we'll still have another meeting another month because it seems like most people can't make it that weekend, but if we can get enough people to come that weekend, we'll make that a meeting too.

I think you are the only cat person who thinks May might work lol -- slick has already said May is out for her ( I miss you Vickie).

So we also want to figure out what weekend is best for everyone, so we know when to have the next meeting (after May).

May long weekend may be out for me as I really really want to go to a friend's wedding that is that weekend in Wyoming. I will definitely be able to make it up sometime in the summer though....

ok it seems may is out lol I cant do the first weekend of June because that is mosaic and I am preforming. but I need to know soon as I need to work out flight plans and let my boss know what days I need off so she can get someone else to fill in.
