Excellent! Congratulations! I actually went to all my mother's classes with her when she went for her Master's degree, so I joke that I had my Master's before I hit Kindergarten! Mom got her Masters when I was 4.

    Cyber-Sibes,

CONGRATULATIONS!!! It's such a relieft to know we haven't pickled ALL our brain cells through alcohol, isn't it! That's wonderful. I always wondered if I could ever go back to school and get a degree. I figured at MY age, by the time I finished, I'd forget why I went to school or what kinda degree I earned!!!

Thanks everybody! I've been gone at work all day & this is nice to come home to! my husband & my youngest son both came to the defense, it was a little intimidating , but not as bad as I thought. I don't know what I expected, I guess they would TEST me or something, LOL! ANyway, one of my committee members is a very dear friend whom I haven't seen in ten years. She came all the way to Ohio from Mississippi for this - it was great to see her. So now....i guess it's time to find a real job!

Congratulations!!! I've worked at a University for years now and seen a lot of students defend, even helped some prepare. The most common thing I see is they've worked so hard and focused so much they don't know what to do with themselves once their done and they have all this free time...lol
