Ah Spring, my very favourite time of year. We have gorgeous weather here. It's going to be sunny all day with a high of 13 degrees....for you non-metric folks that's around 56 F. If you ask me, it's shorts weather for sure.
MOFF, I've never heard of daffodils being called jonquils. 
Is it a US term??? LOLOLOL ....or is it a different variety of daffodil?? Nice vase MOFF! I've made a few in my time too.
My mom left a message on my answering machine this morning and told me that I had to stop work at exactly 10:26am and welcome the Spring...which, of course, I forgot to do so.....
