Ah, Richard. How bittersweet. You brought tears to my eyes. I'm sorry you couldn't have met us all under better circumstances.

    9/3/13
I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.
    [/SIZE]

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

    WOW, 10,000 posts! Congratulations!

Do you have any idea how many lives you have touched in a positive way? So many of us look forward to your wit and wry humor and, of course, opinions!

    Hug the Edster for me.

Congratulations, RICHARD, on your 10,000 and here's to 10,000 more, at least. Thank you for sharing your life, your humor, your tears and your slushies with us

As Stephen King wrote in the Dark Tower, there are other worlds out there. I'm glad we all found Pet Talk. It always amazes me how many of us found it during our dark times. Mine was when my Goldie was dying from liver cancer. Life's travails are so much easier to bear when the pain is shared.

Thanks for your words of wisdom

Most of all, thanks for keeping tabs on Gini for all of us far away.

Even though you really are a **G.., you know I love you just the way you are. CONGRATS Richard, Dick, or Chauncey....whomever you are today.

Karen and Paul....or Paul and Karen to be correct????.....A big thank you for creating this wonderful site and bringing us all together. My life now revolves around Pet Talk and the people and pets within.

So now I will STFU and figure out what I'm going to wear to the airport this year. See you in four short months, Richard.

Oh, and before I go, can I get a Double BM?? OOOps, that's a different thread. Sorry.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Wow, number 10,000 was deep and profound. I might even have to print it out and paste it somewhere I can look at it time and again. Thank you for choosing to share this with all of us. It is what I would call a mentoring moment.

Okay, I'm bawling here. I'm so sorry about your loss. I'm so happy that you and the Edster found each other. And very, very happy that you found your way to PT.

I can't remember how I found PT either. Sometime in late 2002, I did. All I intended to do is post a memorial to Kuhio and move on. But, PTers welcomed me so I stayed.

Don't get me wrong. I'd kick the whole lot of you to curb if that meant I had never lost Kuhio. (Sorry, I was starting to bawl again so I thought I'd crack a joke).

Thank you Richard for entertaining us all. With Eddie stories. And just being yourself.
Ask your vet about microchipping. ~ It could have saved Kuhio's life.

I haven't been on lately and not having PT at work really sucks....

    I am formulating a comeback

    -------------------------------------------

Thank you all for your nice warm thoughts.

I have been pondering that question (joke) that Kuhio posted.

Would I, or could I kick PT to the curb had things been different?

I am glad I don't have to ponder that inponderable!

What would I do for fun all year round and for that crazy week in July???

    Again, You ALL ROCK!
