If after a while, you don't find a pet appealing any more, please do not get a bird. Birds are a huge commitment, and an African Grey Congo can live to be 50-70 years old. Conures can live to be around 30. Cockatiels live to be about 25. If you lose interest in a pet that quickly, what will happen to that bird the next year? 10 years from now? 20 years from now? Will you have lost interest? Please, please talk to bird owners, look online for care, make sure you REALLY want a bird. Do you have any friends with birds? Spring break is coming up soon, maybe you could find someone to birdsit for and make sure this is really for you. If not, google has loads of stuff on birds.![]()

Why not go back to the petstore every week at least once and play with the birds and if you STILL want one after aa couple months then get one..just to make sure wont get bored with it..but I still think it's a bad idea for you if you loose intrest that fast.
