Here in SO CAL, one town has banned all outside smoking!

I am a casual smoker...I usually smoulder.....And while I do agree with some places out lawing smoking, I find it stupid that some establishments are not allowed to have smokers.....

    Freedom of choice maybe?

Smoking has been banned here in all public and government buildings.
Only exception is bars that serve drinks only & nobody under 21.It's
also banned in local jails & state prisons.

I am a smoker who does not object to smoking restrictions in all public
    buildings.If I'm around non smokers, I just don't smoke.

Lillycat and I have a 'fave' restaurant, nearly equi-distant between our homes, and they have sweet potatoe french fries- WAH! We can say we are eating healthy, and no one can really say much (okay, you could say something, but, I am not going to listen). I never gave it much thought that there was smoking in the pub section. Until...until....I carried my infant son through that room....

Effective 3/1- smoking is no longer permitted in the establishment, and I am eternally thankful. While I can over look subjecting my 'mature' lungs to such toxins, I can't my baby's.

Like someone said above, smoke all you want, it is your health...but, when it effects mine? I want a say-so in the matter.

To those of you that smoke, I do think it is an addiction. I wish you strenght to overcome it, but, I realize the fight has to be yours.
