Here's what I said about Nashville Star:

Big & Rich opened the show.. I have to be honest here.. I'm not a huge fan of them, but they are okay.. I say it, because they are honestly real nice guys, very down earth.. their music is just very different, I'll say it, unique. The host of the show is Cowboy Troy.. which is cool...Co-host is Wyonna Judd... which is awesome.

Opening the show with the song "How do you Like Me Now".. AWESOME..

- 1ST CONTESTANT: Casey Rivers - The song he performed tonight was "Heartland" by George Strait. I immediately liked him - he did a good job, unique voice.. and he has icy blue eyes, which I LOVE.

- 2ND CONTESTANT: Melanie Torres - The song she performed tonight was "When the God-Fearing Women Get the Blues" by Martina McBride. Again, I liked her performance. She did very well. She has a great voice.

- 3RD CONTESTANT: Nicole Jamrose - The song she performed was "Pickin' Wildflowers" by Keith Anderson. I like her, cute voice. Her performance didn't blow me away, though.

- 4TH CONTESTANT: Chris Young - The song he performed was "Tequila makes her clothes Fall Off" by Joe Nichols.. He has a good, deep voice, and I definitely like him! He's very good looking too.

- 5TH CONTESTANT: Jared Ashley - The song he performed was "Hicktown" by Jason Aldean. He did pretty AWESOME! Jared originally had the hold onto the song, then lost it to Jason Aldean. Anyway, I hope he stays on for next week's show.

- 6TH CONTESTANT: Monique LeCompte - The song she performed was "Like We've Never Loved at All"... and I think she is my favorite. She did very awesome on this song.. Beautiful, beautiful voice!

- 7TH CONTESTANT: Shy Blakeman - The song he performed.. I have no idea what it was.. but I didn't like him.. but ah well.. we'll see if he gets better next week.

-8th CONTESTANT: Kristen McNamera - The song she performed was "Cowboy's Sweetheart" by Pasty Montana.. she has a cute voice. but I'm not sure if she'll last on the show.

- 9th CONTESTANT: Matt Mason - The song he performed was "Touch Me, Turn me On, and Burn Me Down" by Marty Stuart. I like him, I like him!

- 10th CONTESTANT: Jewels Hanson - She performed "Gone" by Montgomery Gentry. She is not the best performer on the show.

So tonight, one contestant is kicked off the show, and it is Jewels Hanson, which I actually expected her to be gone tonight. So, in no order, I like Chris Young, Matt Mason, Jared Ashley, and Melanie Torres.

Expect a 2nd review next Tuesday evening.
