All things work together for good to them that love God.

I've been defrosted-- Thanks, Sana
Mishi isn't out of the woods yet. Although he did eat, drink and pee last night, I can tell he's still in a lot of pain. He came home on Amoxycillin; thankfully he's always been easy to medicate. I also have some pain meds for him from the last time he was in the ER.
One shocking thing on his report was that his weight is supposedly down to only 9 lbs!I've got a call in to the vet to see if he can be rechecked as I can't believe he's dropped 4 lbs. in a few months and nobody commented on it yesterday. In fact, the All Animals ER weighed him at 13.5 lbs. the day before, so something is awry.
Something tells me my big boy isn't going to be around too much longer. I don't know why, but I just know and it makes me veryOf course, all your prayers and good thoughts help. I'm just going to try and keep him comfortable for as long as he has left on this side of the bridge.
Hugs to Mishi! I'll be wishing him all the best, and you too.
I'm only just now reading this and I'm so sorry to hear about Mishi being sick again.Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent his way. Please take care.
I'm glad things are going better, butat the rest of the report. Something defnitely has to be wrong if he weighed 13.5 lbs one day and 9 the very next.

Well his regular vet finally called me back. She concurred that there's probably something awry with their scale or how he was weighed - perhaps his paw was off or something. I know I can tell that he weighs more than Mitzi and she's a tubbette at 11 lbs.
The vet said she would recommend ultra-sounding him again before considering surgery to see if the stone had grown at all from the last time they spotted it on ultrasound. From what they saw last time, the stone was way too small to consider surgery as they didn't want to open him up and have to poke around for something that they may not find. As all his blood and urine tests came back normal they have nothing to go on as to what this stone is made up of - there are no crystals or anything like that to give a clue as to what we're dealing with. I can't afford an ultrasound right now; I will check with IMOM to see if they might be able to help out.
I will continue with the Amoxycillin and pain meds as needed. He will be rechecked in about three weeks.
Please keep us posted.. This is so distressful on you and him.. Poor baby!
