When does leg lifting start?

I wouldn't worry a bit. Bon didn't do it till he was almost a year old and after he was neutered he's pretty much stopped doing it again. I rarely see him lift his leg.

From what I've heard and read it is done to mark territory. Maybe Merilyn doesn't feel the need to mark.

Not really worried was just curious he was neutered and he has a mix of them at play group.. he is the youngest and the roughest in the group.

Char has never done it. Maybe ONCE (or maybe that was Jamie??) but I think it was because they were in an odd position in the first place, LOL. He has never lifted his leg and still squats. He was neutered at... seven months and is 1 1/2 now and still squats

My cousin's Westie was fixed before he started lifing his leg and he never did. I don't think it's a big deal.

Buster has never lifted his leg. I don't think it's a big deal to be honest.

Lots of male dogs never lift their legs when they pee. Cracker has never done it. He has a manly lean forward hehe. He was neutered at 6 months old. It's nothing to be concerned with and your dog may never do it. I actually prefer it as he doesn't pee all over everything and doesn't stop on walks to mark everything in sight.
