He's so handsome!!I wish my guys would be more like Finn and get dirty like that! Ethan is so dainty that he stands on three legs when he has to be on wet ground.

Seems like someone needs a bath...It's much funnier to be dirty, right Finn??
Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing!

The mud looks very enticing!Finn's one very happy dog! that's great you let him play in the mud - at the dogpark there's people that get crazed if their dog gets the least little mud on them.
Omg he is so cute!!! i miss seeing his face!!! awwww!![]()

Thank you! He did have a ton of fun, and, slept well that night.Originally Posted by Chilli
I know my little dog Bruno was never too much into that stuff, either...I don't think he ever swam. Although he did LOVE hopping through the snow. Finn has yet to meet snow. Should be interesting when he finally does! Ethan's a doll in so many ways, it's ok that he's dainty.
You and your girls can come and go mudding with me anytime. Well, hurry, though, they're going to raise the lake again soon.Originally Posted by Daisy and Delilah
That will all be covered in water, which is still tons of fun, but, not as dirty! And, you've got that right, Finn is a hard player, that boy knows how to have fun!
Yeah, did you notice how muddy Finn's mouth and tongue were in one of the pictures (I think one of them with the boat bumper). It's so nasty...hahahaOriginally Posted by Maltese_Love

It has been awhile, and, I'm sorry about that. Just haven't been on pet talk as much. And, I know I've said this, but, he really did have a good time. I love watching him just go nuts, it's awesome.
I know, I have never minded him getting dirty at all...I always let him get totally disgusting at the dog park. It was so funny, because inevitably, I'd also be covered in mud.Originally Posted by Ginger's Mom

Thank you! I have a few photos of later, too, as he was drying on the patio...similar to the treat time one...they're really cute. I'll be making a new thread hopefully after I'm done with replies to this one.Originally Posted by Toby's my baby

But, actually, unless he gets into something that the lake doesn't rinse off, I don't bathe him...I cleane his ears out and check him all over, but, for the most part he actually looks really pretty after playing in the mud and lake and then drying off...my mom came home that night from work and asked if he'd had a bath. I said, yeah "a mud bath."
Thank you, we both had fun...I did get pretty dirty, too, though I was trying to keep the camera clean, so, I couldn't get too gross. I sunk up to my shins in mud a couple of times, yummy.Originally Posted by BC_MoM
Yeah, I remember that...I just wouldn't take him to the park if I had a problem with him getting dirty...I remember how stressed people would get and they would spend the entire time telling their dog no and trying to keep him away from the mud spots. I can totally understand it with certain coat types, but, man...that's what labs are made for.Originally Posted by cyber-sibes

Oh, I can imagine, you have poodles, right? Yeah, I think I'd be detouring around all the mudholes everywhere if I had pups with coats like that. I knew what I was getting when I got a lab, and, really like doing stuff with him that I've never really been able to do with another pet...it's fun, but, I'm sure I'll have a dog one day where mudding isn't in the agenda.Originally Posted by Pam

Aw, you'll have to bring your pups down sometime for a fun time in the mud.
I imagine you wouldn't even be able to really tell if Bon was muddy, though, with his coat color...
