I knew a dog like this. She suddenly "disappeared" one day. I'm happy to take credit for that. She ate scraps, frequently knocked over her water and it was never refilled and it was 100 degrees out! Before that in the winter she was left outside and my Dad called to say, you forgot your dog outside." They didn't forget and my Dad knew it but it got them to take her in. The son would take her with him for runs in the extreme heat and then tie her up with no water while he went into the air conditioned house. Our hose was always by the fence and I'd hose her down in the summer. I also sat with her on 4th of July and fed her treats because she was so scared.Originally Posted by Roxyluvsme13
One night he told me "someone" took her. Yeah, I tried to find a home for her and when I couldn’t she went to a shelter and I checked up on her all the time until she got adopted a week later. I don't like adding to the over crowding of shelters but I had no choice. Given the chance I would do it again.
Sorry, there was my own mini rant. Once I start thinking about that poor girl I can't stop! I'm happy she found a loving home.
