I just got my baby girl spayed, and she's 2 years old, turning 3 this year. I wish I would've gotten it done sooner but I too was afraid. Everything went fine with her so don't worry, your baby will be fine.![]()

You need to get her spayed. There are lots of benefits.
"There are two things which cannot be attacked in front: ignorance and narrow-mindedness. They can only be shaken by the simple development of the contrary qualities. They will not bear discussion."
Lord John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton
The fact that she is only 6 months old, she coulden't of had 2 heats already. Possibly one, if that. My dog Molli didn't have her first heat until she was 14 months old.
It won't hurt her because she's 6 months. That's acctually the recommended age to do it. Please get her spayed!! You, and her, will appreciate it later on.

I think everyone was reading her little obit reference to "Conan". 6 months since Conan went to Heaven. I always hear of the many benefits of spaying, but what are they actually? Besides the obvious?![]()
There are MANY benefits to spaying. The obvious being they won't get pregnant and bring even more litters into the world, just that many more being killed in shelters. It lowers the risk for cancer, and helps with behavioural problems. Spaying and nuetering is the best thing you can do for your dog in my opinion.
