I am so sorry Val. Your Mother is probably exhausted mentally and physically, she is in for a rough couple of days too. She will need some family members to help her with the funeral home and all the details that get in the way of grieving.

I lost a parent unexpectedly and one expectedly, it is definetely better to be able to know and see them, I am glad you had that.

Oh Val! My heart is so full of sorrow. This may come out wrong, but since we've spoken in the past, you know I'm relieved too that he didn't linger in a nursing home. And your poor mother. I pray her fall was nothing too serious. Please keep us updated. You were there for me during all my sorrow and illnesses, please allow me to be here for you. Please call me since I don't know when the time is good to call you. I'm here for you. I'll be your shoulder. {Hugs} and many prayers.

I have only just read this thread and am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad and your Mum's fall - I hope she is okay.

Having lost my Dad almost a year ago I can totally relate to all you are feeling right now. People told me then the old chesnut that "time is a great healer" and although I could quite cheerfully have thumped them at the time it turns out to be true...........You will get through this and be able to look back at the good times however impossible that might seem right now.

Oh I'm sorry your mom fell and got hurt too! I hope she will be okay. Just remember to take care of yourself in all of this too, you don't need to get sick on top of everything else. Try to get as much rest as you can and I will send prayers that you mom isn't hurt badly and will recover soon. Prayers to you to help heal the hurts and give you strength.

Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!
