    No food, no water. Its suggested to not leave them in for longer than 6 hours. Will you be able to come home at lunch to let him out?

    If he's a puppy, you shouldn't leave him for longer than 4 hour periods.

    You can leave him some icecubes before you leave for work so he has something to chew on/"drink".
