Valentines Day... yay or nay

Well, it's sweet if you have a beau but other than that I think it's depressing and over commercialized. Yesterday I saw like 7 commericials on one channel telling them to buy this or that for V-day.

I'm dating someone, so maybe this year it'll be my first Valentine.

I don't care for it all. What is the history of Valentine's day? It has no religious meaning to me, therefore, I do not care for it.

I am not depressed because I don't have a boyfriend, and even if I had one, I STILL wouldn't care for it.

To me, Valentine's day is just any other day..

It was created for Saint Valentine, a catholic saint but no one celebrates it that way.. to bad I would like it a lot more if they did.

St. Valentine is the patron on Lovers. ♥ Just do a google search on it...

So yeah, it DOES have a religious meaning...

Lol I don't really care one way or the other. It may be nice, one day when I have a boyfriend. But I don't really care. How did I spend me day? Cleaning, walking Major, practicing guitar, looking at cameras on the internet. Nothing special.

I got hubby sharri's berries...not sure if they are nationwide or not, he brought me roses, and I got the kids each a bottle of good cologne, a hallmark hot pink teddy bear, some chocolates, I got my younger daughter these black poodle slippers that look like bubba they are totally cute and I got my older daughter a pedometer....yeah they got spoiled this year

I made a huge thing of shrimp for all of us for dinner.

I haven't liked Valentines Day since fifth grade. I gave out Valentines
to every other kid in my class & did not get even 1 card from anyone.

I was crushed.

I don't care at all about Valentines day. My family has never done anything special on it, it's just another day to us.

It gives me a reason to go out for a NICE dinner with Rob.. however, he hates ALL holidays & refuses to do anything

Makes me quite sad, as I see holidays as something to look forward to, as my childhood SUCKED & only had a GREAT day holidays (I love to give!)

It's never been a big thing for me so I guess I'd say I'm indifferent. The only reason I really pay attention is as a warning not to call my mom for a week before or after it....she's a floral manager.
