Now that we have order restored in the stadium it is time for the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron.

And here comes the Torch...

It's being brought in by..

He is approaching the cauldron and the Olympic Flame Has been lit...
Listen to the crowd!!!

Since we have no Italian athlete to take the Olympic Oath, the Oath will be taken by all the Cat-theletes.......

Welll there you have it, with the exception of the problem with Olly the Mascot , the games are open and now as the stadium empties out and the Cat-theletes head back toward the village, We are going to say goodbye until tomorrow when the competition begins!!!
