I just realized, he was atleast 3 or so years old... isn't that a good age for a Betta?
Thanks for your replies.. my other, Stanton, seems fine!

Yes, that is a good age. He lived a very long and happy lifeOriginally Posted by Kfamr
thanks to you. My dad said some are lucky to live to one. Mine are really old.
bettas don't live long i alrady gone throgh at least four this year![]()
3 is a very full life! 4 is the maximum age, as far as I've seen.
Jenny ~ :/ you might want to check your water ph/ammonia, the temps youre keeping your Bettas in, and the food you're feeding them. A Betta kept in 70-80* clean disease-free water and fed a good diet should live atleast 2 years, assuming they were healthy when you got them.
Oh Kay i have only just seen this now, what a shock. Swim freely Malachai, Daffyd fishie will look after you
.
{{Hugs}} 3 Years old is a great age for a Betta to live til.

Kay, I'm so sorry about Malachai.![]()
I've lost two of my betta boys. One I know was sick, but the other seemed just fine and I don't know what happened. My first boy, Homer, is doing well and looks lovely.
So sorry for your Loss!!!!
