I almost wish that it would be mandatory for first time pet owners to take some classes on how to care for a dog before being allowed to adopt one. It might eliminate "impulse pet buying" and people buying who have no earthly idea of how to take care of and train a pet. I know this would never work, though. Most people wouldn't want to put forth that much effort. Sadly, today people are raising "skin kids" the same way; bringing them into the world and allowing them to raise themselves without proper guidance or direction.
