It feels a bit like I'm being *picked on* here!

Phred, this comment has bothered me all night and I just have to put my 2 cents worth in here.

Speaking strictly for myself, I'm sorry if what I posted is making you feel this way. It certainly wasn't my intention. You have done so much for other people and that little care package is our humble way of trying to give back. We can't be there to help you in other ways so really this our only option. Think of it as us sending you little parts of ourselves. Let's see, you've got a little piece of my hair, part of Staci's nose, part of Zippy's ear...... well, you know what I mean. Please accept the gift along with all the love that comes with it.

Now, about the hike....1.13 miles is great....don't think I could make it that far. It will take some time for you to get back to where you were. Have patience my dear boy. We are with you every "step" of the way.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

LOL! So, it's universal! What were our mother's thinking? Wonder if moms of the new generation are keeping this time honored tradition alive!

Phred, woo hoo! Now that's a walk! Good job! Now put your feet up and enjoy the kids and a comfy cozy Saturday!

It helps the givers in ways you have to know about.

I think, maybe, I'm starting to understand the Meaning of The Gift ...
and to appreciate the Love that travels with it.

"Thank You, Friends" isn't nearly enough ... but I'm not sure what else to offer.

And from the FurKids ~ Cinder, Smokey, Boots, and Bowser ~
a "Thank You, Pet Talkers" is offered ...
as The Gift will become their Medical Safety Blanket.

    I've developed LES ...
time to go take a Hike.

I'm not sure that we can give back to you the love that you have given tenfold! But I'd be happy if we could return it by half

Lesson from my Mom on being gracious... "Just smile and say Thanks!"

You know Phred, this whole thing has been quite a learning experience for me too. Here I am preaching volumes about graciously accepting gifts from others......I should listen to my own advice!!! I've had problems with the "receiving" thing my whole life so I know exactly where you are coming from.

Anyway I'm glad that you finally understand where we are coming from.

To the organizers of this little venture....I thank you for including me. It does my heart good.

We all had a nice Hike at the BigLake Park this afternoon ...

1.44 miles on the GPS for Bowz and me ... Cinder & Smokey put on on
at least an extra mile of running around ...
we ALL took a nap when we got back home!

Weekend looks a lil ruff for hikin ... promise of rain Staurday morning changing to
SNOW with 6" expected by Sunday morning ...
Sunday Afternoon is a mystery for now.

Durn GroundHog didn't waste any time with the 6 more weeks of winter!

You got that right! Sounds like your supposed to get much more snow than us though (hehe you can have it).
Sounds like you and the dogs had a great hike. Glad you feel good enough to get out like that, means you must be getting better

Phred has a GPS in his possession.

That is a gadget that lets you know where you are and how far you move on the planet.

This may be a good thing or a bad thing.

    "Geez, I went 1.83 miles today.....I think I can do 75 tomorrow...."

    Phred.

Leave the GPS at home and smell the flowers, look at the leaves and enjoy your walks.
