I am not too sure. I would want to live in New York because of the cold weather and the wider variety of things to do. I am tired of living in a small city with insanly hot weather all year round. but i would want to live in california because it seems more not-so-big-city-ish, meaning there are some really cool things to do dealing with nature etc.
I will have to stay undecided![]()

Just to let everyone know in northern/central california we definetely have 4 seasons. I don't particular care for the summers though, it gets up to 110 in the summer and can freeze/snow in the winter.
don't breed or buy while shelter dogs die....

CA for sure...I lived there for 3 years before KY and loved the weatherBut I think I like the environment better here. Anyone know where Simi Valley is? (that's where we lived near L.A.)

Interesting thread. I'm a transplant to California. I'm originally from Indiana, so I can say the thing I love about where I live now(northern CA) is definitely the weather and things to do. I can never use the excuse "there's nothing to do", because I can go to the ocean whenever I want, go to wine country, go to dog parks, visit historical sites (Hearst Castle anyone?), and the list goes on. I also love the diversity. I've been introduced to so many new and wonderful ethnicities/religions/foods out here...it's great!
When I first moved here, I really did miss the four seasons of Indiana at first, but now that I've lived here for several years, I have noticed the 4 seasons more than I used to. I'm not a big city person, so NYC would be out, but I bet upstate New York is beautiful. I don't much care for really hot weather, so southern cal is fun to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. Northern CA is definitely for me!
**hugs**
