Yup, he had just had his morning bowl of baited water. I put a couple scoops of kibble in 5 gallons of water twice a day and haul it around. This time of year their water freezes so fast that they can't drink whenever they want! A couple of the pens have water troughs with heaters in them, but not all of them yet. The pens without heated troughs get baited water. The bait ensures even the fussy ones will drink and it keeps them well hydrated, ready to work.Originally Posted by .sarah

"baited water", how interesting! Tell Pacer he has a counterpart here. Star hates having her picture taken too, she will not look at the camera! I can't tell you how many of those eyes-shut turn-my-head shots I have of her. silly dogs! He does have cute ears! He looks really cool with all those snowy trees in the background.
There's that handsome man. I love seeing him, he reminds me (look wise) of Nanook when he was younger.![]()
How is Sundin doing anyways?
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
Pacer you are so handsome, let your Mom take your picture so we can see you.![]()
Baited water.....hmmmm, one of the things we Floridians don't have to worry about. We have to worry about keeping the water cool enough to drink.![]()

Sundin is probably the happiest dog in the yard. He's full of energy, bouncing and running all day. He has discovered rope toys and almost always has one in his mouth lately. He's eating well, gets along great with his pen mates(Pacer and Chum). He just won't let me touch him. Stuart and I tried to corner him a couple days ago. Sundin thought it was a great game!Originally Posted by lv4dogs
