PCB! Your wedding dress sounds really beautiful. I'd love to see some pictures. My friends wore Pakistani-style prom dresses and they were really pretty.
Keep in touch, I want to hear from you before your big day.![]()

PCB! How good to hear from you. Your dress sounds wonderful and I too hope to see pics of it. I wore my mother's wedding dress and one of the things I liked about it was that it was easy to wear....not heavy, not tight...nothing to worry about when you know people are looking at you!
It sounds beautiful, and I'm so happy for you!! I would really love to see a picture of the dress if you can!![]()
Thank you Wolf_Q!
It sounds wonderful. Is it a long top over the skirt (like "Khamiz"- or how do you write it?)![]()
Nope. The top ends at around the waist...maybe a 'little' below that. A Kameez goes all the way down past the knees and is worn with pants, called a 'shalwar'. The outfit that I'll be wearing is called a 'lenga', and is usually worn by brides, though they also have more simple ones for any special occasion. I will 'try' to get a picture, but I'm not sure how I could hang such a dress to get a proper shot.Originally Posted by Barbara
