I got tears in my eyes seeing this! What a sweet face, but he does look really edgy. You can bet he's spent the past 3 years and 5 months carefully watching your every move with the other dogs, too! Your description of how he acts sounds exactly how Buddy acts when my hubby tries to pet him. Always has to make sure he has an escape route, not looking/acting like he's enjoying it.
