I will always have a special place in my heart for my dear Rosie. We had Star for about four years when we decided to get another dog to keep her company. We went to the humane society and as soon as I saw Rosie, I knew she was the one. A roly-poly ball of fur, with bright shining eyes, she was playing with her littermates. At 12 weeks she already weighed 25 lbs, and when we took her outside, she followed us all around. Star seemed to like her pretty well. This was our third trip to the humane society & so far no other dog had clicked with Star, but in truth, Rosie stole my heart immediatly.

She was not the brightest bulb in the pack, but she was the happiest! Her goofiness was part of her charm, and she was the licking-est dog you ever met! She was kind of shy, but sooooo loving, and very dedicated to me. Even now I smile when I think of her, everything she did was funny. She was most probably a rottie-aussie mix, a big strong girl. I think she was beautiful. As a puppy she chewed up everything in sight, and I worked with her forever to stop barking outside. But she was MY GIRL! She love it when I brushed her, she always laid under my feet when I sat in my rocking chair. She would wiggle under your elbow and get her head under your arm, then slide into your lap and roll over and look at you- what a goof! She and Star were great playmates and friends. When we moved to a new house, she and Star got out accidently during a storm one night. I was sitting at my computer and heard a loud thud. I opened the window & called out in the darkness, no answer. I called some more, then Star put her paws on my window sill, and i just knew it was Rosie who got hit. I ran outside inthe pouring rain to see my baby lying on the road, barely breathing. A man stopped and helped move her to the side of the road, I petted her, told her how much I loved her, and ran back to call the vet. By the time my husband & this kind stranger put her into the truck, she was gone. I felt so guilty not to be there at the moment she passed, but I was frantically trying to reach a vet. The asshole that hit her came back wanting to know who was going to pay for the damage to his brand new truck-The jerk never said he was sorry. Rosie was barely three years old. I have a collage of her pictures right next to my bed, she is the last thing I look at every night and the first thing I see when I wake up. She was killed two years ago this Feb.

I would have said how are you going to pay for the loss I have just suffered the pain the greif, and love I just lost. Your truck is a hunk of metal my dog was alive and my best freind! Now go and get hit by a truck yourself.

My most memoral dog would be Buddy a Springer spainel who my parents adopted form the animal aid. He was a GREAT dog not only did he know basic obidence but he knew tons more tricks! He would fetch the paper for us and everything. But then stupid stupid stupid me had to be diagnosed with asthma and allergies. They thought I was allergic to dogs and so while i was in the hospital they gave Buddy back to his foster mom They later found out that it was cats I was allergic to and tried to get Buddy back but he was gone to another home.
