I've been sending lots and lots of positive thoughts all day to Phred. Hope it all goes really well!!
Is it the Cardiac Catheterization he is having? There's some info about that on the site Karen posted. Click on Patient Preop info, then on the male body, and you can either read about the procedure or see a video clip.![]()

No, it's his kidney they are catheterizing today. They have to wait until his kidneys are all set before they can do the angioplasty for his heart.
Still thinking of ya Phred.
I'm not sure if it's the same with all doctors but if they told him it's a relatively painless procedure, then it probably is.
They told Andy AFTER his surgery that the kind he endured was a very painful one. They didn't tell him before hand because they didn't want him to freak out.

Waiting for an uppydate and praying at the same time.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened.
I just spoke with one of the lovely ladies at the nurses station by Phreds room. He has not returned from the recovery area where they took him after the "procedure". They expect him to return within the next hour. When I first called the general Health Center switchboard they knew EXACTLY who John is and what was happening and where to find him. I think he has the whole center charmed, not a surprise at all![]()
