    Boston fans are used to players like Yaz, Rice, Evans, and Remy who stayed with the team for years, even though they probably could have gotten more money elsewhere.

    Elizabethann--Richard is referring (I assume) to the Yankees blowing a 2 game lead in the World Series vs. the Dodgers. The Dodgers one 4 straight to win the series.
