Poor pup! I can't imagine how awful it would be to be frozen, alone, and scared. I'm really glad someone rescued him!
I wonder why the owners do not want the dog back??

They received the dog as a gift so perhaps the dog was too much for them to handle. Perhaps they weren't ready for a dog. I'm glad people have come forward to adopt him. He will more than likely find a good home.Originally Posted by Pembroke_Corgi

Well, why would they not want the dog back?? I hope he finds a family that acctually stays devoted to him....
I heard about that on the news.

Huskies can be alot more dog than some people are ready to deal with - the story mentioned he ran off during an off-leash walk and that's a no-no for husky owners -- you keep them leashed at all times because they do run off, it's their nature! (unless, like Glacier, you take them where there's no where to run off to!) I think they took him cause somebody gave him away & he's gorgeous, not because they understood the breed. Hopefully he'll end up in a home suitable for huskies!Originally Posted by dab_20

I live near there.
Also, it wasn't his tail that was frozen to the tracks, it was his whole body -- he was pulled off by his tail.
Ten or fifteen minutes later a train passed by on the same tracks.
