If you want to meet the owner, you could send a note home with him.....tie it to his collar. Then maybe after you get to know the owner, you could suggest he/she put some ID on the collar in case he should get lost or injured and they need to be contacted.

From what Husky Mom's link show he looks like a purebred. He's so cute either way!
My first thought was ACD/Border Collie.
He looks like a purebred Australian Cattle Dog to me..
just maybe not as stocky as some ACDs.
