***update*** Well, I thought this thread was over...On Christmas Eve Lacey resprained her hip or knee, whichever it is. All she was doing was walking in the yard on a leash right beside me. She must have slipped a bit on some ice and I didn't even know it.
I had some Rimadyl to give her until I got her back to the vet yesterday. He examined both of her legs and is certain she has arthritis in both.We knew she had it in her 'bad' leg so this was no surprise. She's back on the rimadyl for a few weeks and is still on the leash. I was just about to unleash her in the yard too.
Laceys future with her back legs doesn't look good. I'm sure she'll be on meds for arthritis permanently soon. She's only 5.
