She is now on her way back home to wait for the furnace repair person (she's lucky to have found someone who could come over today). She says she's going to work from home this afternoon but how can you type with mittens on How are you doing today Slick? Can I get you something while I'm up?

Happy Thursday to all and to all a... bud light?

I'll sympathize with you ETS; we went 3 wks without a heater! We ended up having to buy a new one. (And of course during that time, we hit record breaking lows. Figures. lol)

I have a major case of the "I don't wannas" today - good thing it's a slow day at work.

Everyone ready for the holiday? Merry Christmas early!

I am hoping that I do not have to go that long! I am leaving for the Christmas holidays on Saturday and I would like to have some heat before then... I can survive during the day, but that first step out of the shower in the morning is the killer

    Merry Christmas everyone.

I have the "all Christmas" radio station on to get into the mood. We just avoided a major freezing rain storm here earlier in the week - amazing how different life is when its 34 degrees out and not 31 degrees.

So now its just pouring down rain - ahh - Christmas in the Pacific Northwest.

These are not the droids you were looking for

Hi everyone! Just checking in for the day. Feeling a little blue today.....thank goodness I'm at work and can take my mind off things. Just read about Rocky....there's way too much sadness on PT lately. I've got to get up and shake off this mood. Oh Richard......where is that annoying guy??? I need a good strong drink. Laurie, I'm going to call you on Saturday....hopefully you will be home and not gallivanting around with rich men at country clubs.

Well the furnace repair person is here and he can fix it, I do not have to get a new one Who would have ever thought I would be happy with an unexpected $600 repair bill...but it is better than the $2500 for a new heat pump!

So keep up the Irish coffee until the heat is turned back on!

Okay, Christmas shopping done (Sorry, but I borrowed the orc to help with the crowds, he's back at work now)

One God's Blessing (for those of you who aren't Spider Robinson fans, that's an Irish Coffee), and I'll join whoever is on the couch. Anyone mind if I put in the George C Scott Christmas Carol again?

One big AAARRGH to the idiots who think that the highway is a place to drive like they're in NASCAR.........My truck doesn't stop as quickly as your little Hyundai, I hope whoever you are you need to go change your shorts!

Hey LH, good idea using ORC for crowd control! I may have to borrow him! I heard him tossing the logs around outside. I like the George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol. A double eggnog for me, please!

    lol,

The thought of an Orc in the backseat of a pickup would caiuse some kind of a traffic incident...

If you are off the road for the rest of the day you get a LARGE OGB.....I read Time pressure (?) years ago.....I'll have to look back into that author. Thanks for the tip!

ETS, I always look at a repair bill as a donation to a college fund!

    MOFF,
If you asked for PT Prayers you will probably get them!

Could I just get a 7 up? My tummy is upset. I wonder if life will ever be "normal" again. I'm hoping God has a nice house picked out for me and will help me find it and get there. It will take a miracle to get me and the cats moved. But this is the season of miracles, eh?

Chicken that I am, I'm afraid to get off the Internet because then my phone line will be free for her to call and scream at me some more. My blood pressure and tummy just can't take any more today.
