yup it is a boy. Only Plakats (wild types) and girls have short fins.
(Ireally researched a lot because I thought I was going to get one/some but my parents have forbidden any more live animals from entering the house perminantly they apperently think it is growing to too much like a zoo. (However if horses cost more like dogs they would be happy to have one or two because they live at a barn.
