Have you tried putting some soothing music on? I have a portable tape player that I use when I have trouble sleeping. It shuts off automatically. I know they have them for cds now. I also leave a night light on. There's just something comforting to me to see a light.

I would reccomend a nice warm bath right before bedtime too. It's up to you if you want bubbles or not! (I personally would vote for them)

Being sleepy can be what's making you so tired.
