    Slick I'm so happy to hear that she ate all that Fancy Feast! That really is good news. Your friend is so sweet to help you with all of this. I hope if something like this happens to me I'll have a friend to help, I'm terrified of needles!

    Slick, This is wonderful news!!! I'm so happy to hear that she's eating again and seems a bit perkier too. You'll get the hang of giving the sub-q fluids but I'm glad that you also have a friend that's close by and willing to help you. Take care. ((((HUGS)))

    OMG! I somehow missed this thread -- sorry, I seem to be oblivious these days.

    It sounds like the sub-q injections are doing her a world of good -- I'm SO thrilled. ~~~ healing vibes for Speckles ~~~ and ~~~ comfort/hang in there vibes for Slick ~~~

    I'm so glad you have such a good friend close by to help you through this. I'm also so very glad that Speckles seems to have perked up a bit and actually begged for food! Way to go Specks!!! Now that you've got the procedure down and the kidney meds have had time to start kicking in a little, hopefully you'll start to see a slow but steady improvement in her. All I know is if she's asking for food, she's not ready to go yet, and that is a HUGE relief!

    I forgot all about the snuggle safe thing! We put a heating pad under a towel for Tubby and he seemed to enjoy it. Once he started feeling better he'd sleep half on and half off so we thought maybe he was getting too warm and turned it off, but he seemed to appreciate it when he wasn't feeling that well.
