Speckles Needs Prayers!

Prayers continue to be said for you and Speckles that she can perk up abit and remain comfortable for a while yet. And by the way, the few times I've been hopitalized, it does take a couple days to get the strength in my legs back again - they just get used to doin' nothing.

Slick, I am praying that now Speckles is back home with you that she may perk up after the meds have a chance to take hold.

Each day will be very special and I know that she is aware of all that you are trying to do for her.

I think Karen is right - being cramped in a cage probably has made her legs a bit stiff.

My legs and hips get stiff whenever I sit for very long! Poor Speckles. You are a saint to take such loving care of her.....

Just checking in today...

Your ordeal sounds similar to what we went through with Tinker. We had to give her fluids twice a day, alternating between the left and right shoulder (they told us we could insert the needle in the scruff behind her "elbows"). I couldn't do the needle-in-skin insertion (feeling it go through the skin freaks me out) so I admire you 10x over for doing this task by yourself.

I sincerely hope that Speckles is doing better with each passing minute.

I'm glad she's getting the potassium. I know when we first brought Tubby home, it was a day or two before we saw significant improvement. Hopefully you'll see a little improvement by the time you get home this evening, then a little more tomorrow morning and so on.

I'm glad you all got to snuggle last night. I bet that's the best night's sleep you've gotten this week.

I know exactly how heavy your heart is, and I can't imagine having to go play Santa all day when dealing with this, but, it will be a good diversion for you and it will give
Speckles time to reaclimate to being home.

Somehow you will find the strength to endure this....because you have to. Speckles knows you are doing the best you can for her, and I know she knows you love her and will do whatever is right for her. Hang in there sweetie.....
