Yes I LOVE poodles and have two right now. I have had six poodles in my life, counting Bella and Ripley who live with me now. I have had all three sizes and all colors and am shamefully addicted to this breed. I started out over 30 years ago with two apricot toys and they were such loving and smart little dogs that I had to have more! LOL! They were not snippy but barking sometimes was a problem, especially with one setting the other off at times. LOL! I then got a silver mini and later on a black standard and they joined the toys at the Bridge in the late '90's. Bella (my white standard) is almost five years old now and is my constant companion and I adore her. Ripley (black mini) is my only rescued dog and we are guessing that he is probably around 6 years old now. He is truly a Mama's boy and is never more than an inch from my side. They are loyal, loving and very intelligent dogs. Sorry to go on.....
Molly is precious! She reminds me so much of one of my apricot toys named Pumpkin.![]()
I have 3 poodles, two standards--Kagan and Kosha--and a little mini named Quinn. I love them to death, and I cannot imagine life without them. They are full of life and fun, and not snippy at all. I've never met a poodle that was.
Flatcoatlover, please forgive me for not commenting on how gorgeous Quincy and Shante are. I thought I had until I checked just now. They are very beautifully groomed and that does my heart good. My pet peeve is people who bring poodles into their lives and allow them to mat.
Your friend is a lucky girl!
Kosy, the picture of your three is awesome. I would love to play Santa just to be surrounded by your poodles. I am laughing at Kagan's expression as Bella would look just the same, sort of like *Mom I don't really want to be here, ya know?" Quinn of course reminds me of Ripley - checking out what is going on around him and most certainly looking to see that you are not too far away.I have mentioned this before, but I am feeling like I should be adding a silver standard to my crew to keep up with you!

Everyone's Poodles are gorgous!! They really are great dogs.
When I am grown up I don't know if I will have a poodle right away, sadly. I have a very hard time keeping up with their fur. So we keep Molli's fur pretty short.

every ones poodles are so beautiful, my friend vette has a poodle who is quite a riot..so funny..
Yollie is poodle mix, and looks more like a poodle, she is not at all snippy and is very sweet eeven if she is a pest to the other dogs sometimes but that is because she is a puppy but she minds well and I love her so much..

Sorry I don't have any poodles but I love them! When I grow up I plan on getting a poodle. My next door neibor had a poodle. Her name was Shontel, but then we moved so we haven't seen shontel in a long time.
Sparrabeth- Never say we Die!
No matter what Ted and Terry wrote, Jack and Liz love each other.
My friend has a toy poodle puppy named Jazz. She will be bred if she turns out. She's super cute with alot of attitude. I work with poodles and wouldn't have one, myself. I like the standards but the toys and miniatures are too wimpy for me --- they scream for everything and are some of the most likely to have fits or heart attacks when being dried. I prefer to have a dog that can be handled and won't complain about it. Poodles are cute though, I do love Jazz, she is such a sweetie. You can really tell that they were bred to be companions.
Here are a couple pics of Jazz.
I've been BOO'd!
why would you think toy and mini poodles are wimpy? some may turn out wimpy- only because their owners baby them. and they don't scream for everything, just trying to make a point.
Jazz is really cute.

Pam, your two poodles are very pretty. Ripley is so handsome. Molly is to cute! I LOVE that picture. I don't have a poodle though. We were gonna get one at first but We liked Malteses better. I don't like them that much. But they are adorable.
I'm not talking about in general, I'm talking about for grooming. We don't have a single toy or miniature poodle that comes in that doesn't scream for almost everything. Most of the dogs that come in that we have to be extremely careful with while drying are toy and miniature poodles because they are the most likely to have a fit or even a heart attack because they freak out. Almost every old dog fit I've witnessed was a poodle. It's not because their owners baby them, because almost every poodle I've met does it. Maybe it's different elsewhere, but that's how it is where I work.Originally Posted by dab_20

I absolutely love poodles! Of al sizes, too!Where we are staying for x-mas, (my family is there right now!) I LOVE it here! Anyway... we are staying at my grandparents house, and right around the corner, live my aunt, my uncle, and my 4 cousins, and over the fence, (not a very tall fence) lives this beautiful little girl, Georgette, a black Standard! She is just as sweet as can be! Just though I would share!
