I don't understand the prednisone either...it is an anti-inflammatory but is also a drug not to mess with often. Maybe mixing some pumpkin, or bran flakes will help bulk up his stool too. Fiber never hurts to use either. Get the 100% pumpkin though, not the pie mix with seasonings. Many cats love pumpkin.
