Good to hear everything is going well, Phred, even if they're not going as fast as you'd like. Guess some of Terry's worry wart trait rubs off on my now and then, especially when we don't hear any news from you, so be sure to check in often - k?
It's warm here today too, but raining buckets, so if you do go for a hike, don't forget the rain coat and try to hike between the rain drops.
I'm also glad to hear the "locals" are taking good care of you.
Oh, and what SAS said....I did some research on thyroids the other day to try and get some answers, and I determined I better not read anymore! Seems there are a lot of people who have had a much harder time with their thyroidectomy and recovery than I have. It was awful reading all the horror stories of people losing their voices and botched surgeries and such. My surgery was such a piece of cake that it makes me wonder what type of doctor these people went to....was my doctor that good? Anyway, I determined I'd wait until my follow up appt. to ask [b]my doctor the questions directly, but I do think finding a support group can be a good idea - which is why I went looking for one - but you also have to remember where the information is coming from and take it all with a grain of salt. I think a local in-person support group would be also be much better than an on-line one.
