FURIOUS!(about pitbulls)

I thought an american staffordshire terrier and an american pit bull terrier were two different breeds. Hmm...going to research a little. But, if someone has a site saying one way or the other, before I find something, post it, please. I'm wondering, now!

I thought/think this too but then I think the term "pit bull" is applied to describe a group of dogs and not one breed in particular.

I said the name wrong, though...Staffordshire Bull Terrier (not American Staffordshire Terrier)...and the American Pit Bull Terrier...

Going to look at the AKC site, now...see what it says.

I checked on the AKC site, I SWEAR I saw the Pit Bull listed there before as an American Pit Bull, and I KNOW its a breed, but then its gone from the AKC site or was never there and I saw it somewhere else so it made me second-guess myself
