I hate to be a downer on this one, but many people have made this mistake. It only takes a second to check the inside first. Also before starting your car, bang on the hood to make sure a cat isn't curled up in your engine to keep warm.
Didn't mean to dampen anyone's day. Just trying to prevent anymore tragedies.

Good point, Moos - we all know Sara wouldn't intentionally suggest harm ---
We've all been there in some way. Our dryer is out in the garage behind another door. Since Ritz is indoor only, there aren't a lot of chances, but we do dance gingerly when we step at night so we don't accidentally step on Ritz.
Cats are "heat seeking" - If I leave a basket of freshly dried towels unattended, it is not uncommon to find a pile of black and white fur neatly curled on the top of it![]()
