Glad to hear Mandy is starting to feel better. See Mandy, you have to take it easy for awhile, then you can convince Mom that it is safe to let you off your leash again.

An update on Lacey... one minute she's walking ok, the next she's not. The vet wants her to continue resting and stay on the rimadyl for one more week and if she's not better, she'll have to go back in.

Woops, somehow I missed seeing your update when I read this. I'm sorry that she continues to have problems. Sure hope she turns the corner soon with this and doesn't have to go back.

*update* on Lacey: She seems to be better. It's been two weeks since she hurt herself. I will continue to leash her outside for awhile so she doesn't take off doing 90 mph after anything and rehurt it. She's a bit stiff when she gets up sometimes but that is mostly due to her bad leg.

Thanks again to everyone for the wishes and prayers, I'm sure it helped.

***update*** Well, I thought this thread was over... On Christmas Eve Lacey resprained her hip or knee, whichever it is. All she was doing was walking in the yard on a leash right beside me. She must have slipped a bit on some ice and I didn't even know it. I had some Rimadyl to give her until I got her back to the vet yesterday. He examined both of her legs and is certain she has arthritis in both.We knew she had it in her 'bad' leg so this was no surprise. She's back on the rimadyl for a few weeks and is still on the leash. I was just about to unleash her in the yard too. Laceys future with her back legs doesn't look good. I'm sure she'll be on meds for arthritis permanently soon. She's only 5.

Lacey will be having ACL surgery on her 'good' leg next Thursday. I guess this is why she kept spraining things. The ligament in her knee was about to tear. I'm so not looking forward to next weekend. I'm hoping we all do ok. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
