Awww, I am sure she does, I just dont promote the breeding and purchase of these wonderful, exotic, but still very Wild. They have many inhibitions, and generally don't do well with strangers and noisy situations. Ours were socialized well aand we had very few problems. LOL, whats funny is the one who barked the most were our dogs, lol. The only one we had howl was bear, the others only bellowed when the neighbor ran his dog up and down the street, literally( this lazy man sat and drove his truck while his poor dog, that had knee prob. etc. a lab, a fat one,, ran beside him.) anyway, we loved our guys, I just don't think people should breed them, as uneducated people get them as novelty pets, kinda like cocka-poos and those other breeds people buy as a new fashion mix....anyway..thnks! and I am sure she loves her pup!!

Not to randomly bump up an old thread, buuut..

I have only had two people correctly identify Visa as a Belgian. One because his sister had one, the other because she used to have one. Everyone else automatically thinks me dog is something else. So far I've had "black German shepherd," "German shepherd/collie mix," "black collie," "German shepherd/wolf mix," and "wolfdog." When it was my first day doing work experience at the shop I work at, I came in, saw Visa, and told her breeder "Nice groenendael." It was those simple words that made her beg my boss to hire me -- because I knew what a groenendael was.
    I've been BOO'd!

    ~Yes~

Yes. Since Eli is so slim and small for a Labrador, they think she's some kind of Greyhound mix. And they think Baybe is a purebred Dachshund, which he is not. And Hooch, well they call him an English Mastiff, which is also wrong. I hate it when someone tells you what kind of dog your dog is! ~lol~

I always get the "She's too light to be a Lab" for Nova. Yellow Labs can be cream to fox red, Nova is cream. People seem to know that Luka is a Lab. And with Mandy, I usually get Lab mix or Dalmation mix, because of the spots on her ears. I used to think Lab before I owned one, and now I don't see an ounce in her. Dalmation - absolutely not. And when I tell them what she is, they are like "... really? Are you sure?"

MILLIONS OF TIMES! Since Red is an Azores Cattle Dog, and they are very rare, everyone asks, or everyone says, and everyone's wrong! These are what they have thought Red is:

    Pit Bull
    Cane Corso
Puppy Dane (which was TOTALLY WRONG, he doesn't look anything like a Dane in my oppinion)
    Mastiff
    Bulldog mix
    American Bulldog
    Rottweiler mix
Australian Cattle Dog (which was a little bit close, but barely)

And whever I say, "No he's an Azores Cattle Dog", they say "No, he is a Pit bull" or whatever other breed. It gets pretty annoying Esspecialy since I bring him everywhere with me!

Ive had people think my Sasha was a Pappllion mix.
Not at all. We live in a very small place where I have NEVER in my 21 years seen a papallion. NEVER.

her mom was a terrier mix and her Dad was a a Border Collie. and Ive had people ask if she was a sheltie to. I can see that cause the marking are kinda similar, but not really and shes teh size of a sheltie.

I took Comet to Petsmart today to see what size of a crate he'd need and people kept on asking me if he was a Cocker mix or a Golden puppy...lol. I did have a couple people recognize his breed though

    Ripley - 5 1/2yr old Doberman

yep happens here with my great pyr

My pyr is multi colored, not all white...he is sooo beautiful with big tan/orange badger spots on his body with freckles too and a beautiful mask including black around the eyes...for 7 yrs now, my groomer continues to list him as a grt pyr/st.bernard mix there is nothing st.ber in him and he has the double dew claws as well...my vet cracks up, says it's just really rare to see the mask in the breed, but he is a pyr all the way

Is there a picture of your Pyr online somewhere? I'd love to see. Thanks!

The funniest breed misID I've ever read about was in the newsgroups (r.p.d.) years ago. Someone mentioned that a little girl saw a Harlequin dane and excitedly told her mom, "Look, a cow!"

Many people do not believe Nebo is a purebred siberian husky because he is red and white. Most people seem to think huskies can only be gray and white. I've had several people question me if he's purebred when I just told them what breed he is.

A lot of people think he is a malamute too, I've even heard wolf and coyote lol.
