hehe, well, whatever she is, my whole family seems definitely interested in her. the only person who needs to be convinced is my dad. (It took 16 years to persuade him to get our first dog, Zero). Although we all now know how much joy Zero has brought to our lives..I am not kidding...joy! Zero always cheers us up, even when we are at our lowest points. I love pitts and gsd's, but don't know much about shar pei's. she looks cute thoughAnd so far my dad has said "maybe" which usually means probably.
Basically, we wanted a companion and friend for zero for when my mother is at work. See, someone is always in my house at all times, whether it is my dad or grandmother. Only problem is that Zero can't get as much exercise as he needs in the yard by himself (we have a decent sized back yard with high fence). This is because my father has lung cancer which has sapped all his strength...he is not strong enough to walk Zero and does not want to use the prong collar, and my grandmother is a couple years away from 90, and also has a very bad back problem.
So basically my dad will try to play fetch with zero in the backyard but sometimes this is even tiring for him as his energy levels are minimal at best. so zero will end up just sitting on the deck soaking up the rays until my mom gets home from work to "work the beast"my mom walks Zero at least 4 times a day, but we think he would do well with a friend.
oh and I borrowed my girlfriend's mom's digital camera for the weekend, so I will be uploading some pictures of Zero. Already have taken 20 or so
If we do indeed end up adopting successfully, I have to thank all of you at PT, and people on dogster.com, because I have seen so many success stories of dogs who have been adopted...I started to feel so bad about all the dogs that have to spend their lives in shelters![]()
