No ... if you go to the supermarket there's TONS of Thanksgiving stuff ... FOOD!!! hehe, Thanksgiving isn't forgotten ... ever. People remember it because they get to pig out! There's just not many decorations for Thanksgiving. We've never decorated for it. Actually I don't know anyone who does.Originally Posted by Vette
I BET my sister has hers up too! I am not putting mine up this year since I will be working and not at home. I see nothing wrong with it anymore.. That is a lot of work just for a month of looking at it.
After Christmas, I re-decorate mine for Mardi Gras when I am off.

My mom decorates with really beautiful Thanksgiving items...cornucopias and the like...we don't put our tree up til at the earliest, the day after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving, thankfully, isn't as commercialized as Halloween and Christmas. The malls are the last places I want to be around this time of year, people really get ugly. It's supposed to be a beautiful time of year, but, ugh, it's all so over commercialized, it's not even about that anymore. I try to have all my shopping done early for that reason.![]()

Let me ask a question - what's the earliest acceptable date to put up the tree?
