I worked in Branson for awhile waitressing at Bob Evans Restaurant and grew up going to Silver Dollar City every summer at least a couple times. I loved Table Rock Lake and we also went camping on Stockton Lake. Kinda neat to "hear" someone else talking about those places. Yeah a lot of people think Ozark is on Lake of the Ozarks but that's a couple hours away. Lake of the Ozarks is beautiful too though. Have been to Ha Ha Tonka out there.
The thing I love most about living here though is not just how FRIENDLY everyone is, but locals get discounts... everywhere!! Going out to eat at most sit-down restaurants you get a 10% discount. It's so great!

And surprisingly enough I've only ever been to Silver Dollar City three times in my life -- once on a family vacation in 2000, the other time on a trip with my friends in 2003, and then last month hehe. I even get in for free since my fiancée works at Shoji Tabuchi but we never have any time!

Oh goodness no! Thankfully! It doesn't get too deep really if it falls straight down. 6 to 12 inches is average. It's when it gets windy and drifts is when it causes problems. The snow plows and salt trucks stay on top of it pretty well though. I still get white knuckles on my drives to and from work. *laughs*

I don't have any really good new pictures but here are some from last summer
    (L to R)

Now being said this was last year, just imagine all the bushes around the porch gone (because of Bon ) and a gaping hole where the pool used to be (it's now a mud pit ).
But otherwise it's basically the same

Huney, Bon & Simba-missed so very much

anna_66 I remember your yard from the movie you posted of your pups chasing each other in your yard! I wouldn't have even noticed the bushes or the pool missing though if you didn't mention it LOL

Ok, I was bored...sorry there are so many

Here is my house, I took this from across the street...

This is what we call "driveway 2", its where my brothers and I park

"Driveway 1" My parents park here, lol...In my forensics class at school the teacher gave me crime scene tape so I put it on the gate...

Still in the front yard...my dad and his "air mail"

Our tree in Driveway 2...we have plans to carve it into a totem pole or a fireman but in the meantime its just a cute face.

Standing in the middle of driveway 2 (thats the hood of my car) and looking at the "lower yard" The wooden fenced in thing is the pool...

To the right a few feet

Entering the back yard...dun dun dun....

    More coming...

Top of the stairs looking out

/\ the big blue thing is the dog kennel, next to that is my sisters "tree house" and the swingset area and sandbox, my mom's swing and picnic table are being stored there for the winter...right in front there is the pond we just put in maybe 2 weeks ago, Jack thinks its his new pool, lol. The car in the very back is my dad's derby car, it was covered with a tarp but Jack decided to climb on it yesterday

In the back of the upper yard looking toward the house

    View of the lower yard

In lower yard looking at driveway #2, in 2002 my dad built all of the rock walls

Inside of "Jack's kennel"...he is the only one that ever uses it, he chooses to spend the day in there when we're at school instead of his crate, the other dogs aren't allowed to stay in there for any length of time because they bark and then the animal control comes to our house

    Alrighty I'm done!!

    Whoops, I lied...

This is in our lower yard looking up to the upper yard, it used to be a hill but we hated mowing it so we chopped it off and used our excess rocks to cover it...it looks pretty cool in the summer with the flowers but this time of year it looks like....crap...

    Now I'm done...I think
