I grew up in Ozark, MO, outside of Springfield. My grandma had a place in Stone County on Table Rock Lake and I was out there all the time fishing/swimming and "treasure hunting" (for Indian artifacts) all the time. Some good memories. My feet toughened up so much I could walk on those rocky beaches no problem . Doubt I could anymore though.

OH YEAH Ozark is like, ten minutes north of me! It's between Branson and Springfield! Stone county is right next to Taney county, which is where I live. My grandmother lives in Laurie, MO which is right on The Lake of the Ozarks so I always thought where SHE lived was.. the Ozarks.. when in reality its nowhere near Ozark, MO!!

I know it's grown a lot since I lived there. Haven't been there since about 1995, that's when we moved to Battlefield for a bit and then the next summer I moved to MN. I worked in Branson for awhile waitressing at Bob Evans Restaurant and grew up going to Silver Dollar City every summer at least a couple times. I loved Table Rock Lake and we also went camping on Stockton Lake. Kinda neat to "hear" someone else talking about those places. Yeah a lot of people think Ozark is on Lake of the Ozarks but that's a couple hours away. Lake of the Ozarks is beautiful too though. Have been to Ha Ha Tonka out there.

The thing I love most about living here though is not just how FRIENDLY everyone is, but locals get discounts... everywhere!! Going out to eat at most sit-down restaurants you get a 10% discount. It's so great!

And surprisingly enough I've only ever been to Silver Dollar City three times in my life -- once on a family vacation in 2000, the other time on a trip with my friends in 2003, and then last month hehe. I even get in for free since my fiancée works at Shoji Tabuchi but we never have any time!

Oh goodness no! Thankfully! It doesn't get too deep really if it falls straight down. 6 to 12 inches is average. It's when it gets windy and drifts is when it causes problems. The snow plows and salt trucks stay on top of it pretty well though. I still get white knuckles on my drives to and from work. *laughs*

I don't have any really good new pictures but here are some from last summer
    (L to R)

Now being said this was last year, just imagine all the bushes around the porch gone (because of Bon ) and a gaping hole where the pool used to be (it's now a mud pit ).
But otherwise it's basically the same

Huney, Bon & Simba-missed so very much

Ok, I was bored...sorry there are so many

Here is my house, I took this from across the street...

This is what we call "driveway 2", its where my brothers and I park

"Driveway 1" My parents park here, lol...In my forensics class at school the teacher gave me crime scene tape so I put it on the gate...

Still in the front yard...my dad and his "air mail"

Our tree in Driveway 2...we have plans to carve it into a totem pole or a fireman but in the meantime its just a cute face.

Standing in the middle of driveway 2 (thats the hood of my car) and looking at the "lower yard" The wooden fenced in thing is the pool...

To the right a few feet

Entering the back yard...dun dun dun....

    More coming...

Here's a couple of pictures I found on my computer. Nothing fancy, but I like it because it's all fenced so the dogs can run and play all they want.
I couldn't find any pics of the front yard.
