Awww, Ki. I hope your ears clear up. We don't like it when you worry us.

We were told we have to deal with it because both of our dogs are excessive water dogs. I mean, Kiara is in the pool 99% of the time. We haven't let her much lately because it's been cold and stormy today. We've done ear flushes, pills, ointment, and just straight cleaning. What they meants by dealing with it is just keeping up on cleaning it regularly, after she swims drying it, etc.

Tomorrow she has a vet appointment for her Health Certificate and so our vet can check her ears. I trust Dr. Mathews very much so. I've known him since elementary school and have got to him since we got our first dog, Simba. I'll ask him about the vinegar/water solution.

Her ear looks better than it did yesterday.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions and concerns, I really do appreciate them!
    Wish us luck tomorrow.

Have you tried using a drying agent in the ears?
Some ear cleaners have it right in the solution, sometimes it is seperate. It mught be worth it, even if you have cleaner with it mixed in you may want to get just a bottle of the drying solution?

Yep, the flush we have is supposed to dry out the ears.

Yeah, but they also make a powder separate that is for drying & drying only. Maybe it's worth a shot?

Hehe, oops. I added a 'y' at the beginning.

She has a yeast infection in both ears - the right one is just way worse. He gave us some medication to apply to the ears twice a day - as well as a different ear flush to be used once a week. They also deep-cleaned her ears and got out as much as they could.

The stuff they gave us before they've not stopped using and switched to a different kind, so hopefully it will work.

She is all clear to fly to Utah.

Poor Kiara. My RB girl had recurrent yeast infections in her ears as well (well mainly the left one). I hope that you find the new stuff works better for her. And of course the most important news - She can still fly to Utah!!! Good for her. Can you stay out of the pool until then, Kiara?
