How do folks make the text heart and other symbols??

Am I the only one that doesn't see ANY of your all's hearts???

I'm confused!

all I see is the code you typed to make them.

Hehe I know, that confused me at first, too. Using ♥ will only work if HTML is enabled. Since they upgraded I'm assuming they disabled HTML so those codes will no longer work. Instead a newer way is by using ALT+3 to make hearts, so instead of typing in code for the webpage to render, you just put a heart right into your post, like so:

Ok, so maybe I am dumb... do I hod the alt key down, then press the plus sign, and the 3 at the same time? Or do I not use the plus sign? What key am I pressing when?

I cannot for the life of me make a heart!

Although not as convieniant as the alt whatever...I have a laptop too, and you can still do them with numbers
