Awsome! I hope to get a job at one of the local groomers' shops this summer. How long did it take you/ what did you have to do before they let you actually groom customers' dogs?
Sorry but seeing some of those dogs in pet/puppy clips made me sad. I realize some people request them though

Amy these are all excellent! You are truly an artist in every sense of the word - your drawings, your terrific photography and now we get to see it in your grooming. I know how much work it is to groom two dogs every 4 weeks. I can't imagine doing several dogs in one day! Of course you are a lot younger than I am!! LOL!

    Thanks everyone

Great pics! Did you groom all of these dogs? How many dogs does your shop get in a day?
Yes these are all dogs that I personally have groomed. It varies a lot...today there were 3 lol......some days there are 20...we have 3 groomers and 3 bathers.

How long did it take you/ what did you have to do before they let you actually groom customers' dogs?
I worked as a bather for about 2 years then they made the grooming manager a trainer and she trained me as a groomer, which I've been doing for about a year.

Sorry but seeing some of those dogs in pet/puppy clips made me sad. I realize some people request them though
Why does it make you sad? I personally do not like to see double coated dogs (like goldens, poms, huskies, etc.) shaved because it damages their coat...but shih tzus, cockers, poodles, etc. very few people (at least that I have seen) are capable of taking the time to keep them brushed out, so if they aren't going to brush them they are tons better off clipped short then full of matts IMO.
