    Hi, gang!

Well, I guess I won't qualify as a homeoming Queen, but I could be one of Mario's advisors! Next year will be my 40th high school reunion. I graduated in the prehistoric year of 1966! RICHARD, could I have a Mai-Tai so that I won't have to think how long ago that was. Also three catnip teas for the girls.

David, how are the kitties? Does Marigold have her paws well and truly under the table now?

Mario, you're just too darn cute in that crown! May I share a dance with you?
Here's a quarter for the Juke box, a MT for you and a cherry for Mario..
    ALL Hail the KING!

    And I don't mean Elvis.!!

    KK,

Never had a MAI TAI!!! Stick with us and you'll end up in trouble!

    DONE!

    Barbara,

Our Bell bottoms had the sewn on 'extension' border around the bottom-Peace signs, doves, ankhs and other stuff!!

    Catland...

You were in Hawaii in 2002? And I bet the place has never been the same since!!!

    One Mai Tai? DONE!

    David,

One Mai Tai and 4 CNTs and an Advisor's sash....
    DONE!

One thing about going to my reunions...

The Star Quarterback of the football team was there..

I was taller, had more hair and didn't need to light up a cigarette every five minutes.

THAT was worth the price of the ticket.

What about the embroidery? I still have this jean jacket that I embroidered the entire back of - it was so cool! A few years ago my mom let my niece wear it for awhile. I have a picture of her modeling it...but it must be on my home computer. We also had a home ec project where we had to embroider something. I embroidered a pot leaf on my brother's jeans. Don't remember what kind of grade I got on that! Funny that the clothes we wore back in the late 70's are all back in again....although I know I wouldn't fit in anything I owned back then.....had a 30" waist back then.

Hmmm....just the thought of that makes me reach for the pitcher of slushies....what ever happened to that 30" waist? Where did it go?

High school definitely was a good time though.....where does the time go? Hmmm....looks like the time goes the same place my waist went!

OMG!! I forgot to mention!!! ALL of the guys who were most popular and the best looking in school....were all bald!!! I didn't even recognize most of them because they were all bald, short plump old men! And here I come, all tall and slender (ok, not quite a 30" waist, but still relatively slim) with only a few wrinkles and only my hairdresser knows why I have no gray!

I agree Richard, definitely worth the cost of admission!

Although....our lockers were assigned alphabetically so through the entire 5 years of high school (we got put in the high school building in 8th grade - no middle school at that time) I was right next to what I thought was one of the best looking guys in school. He was there. He was not bald, short, plump or old...but he is married! Didn't talk to him. Out of the 5 years we spent right next to each other, we never talked, why start now?

I remember the embroidery, but I never did any of it myself. Did you wear the jacket to your reunion?

    And speaking of clothes...

My clothes are smaller than they were "back in the day" but as I look down at my rock band T-shirt, baggy khaki pants and hiking boots I realize...

I WORE THIS IN HIGH SCHOOL!

D'oh, I'm such a dweeb lol. I'll probibly be sporting my "style" way into old age.

"Gee grandma, where did you get that classical music T-shirt? That band is so 50 years ago!"

I've never been to any of my High School reunions. I'd love to have a reunion of my Advanced Training class from FT Sill, but I think Oklahoma passed a law about us......

(we REALLY didn't mean to light the hotel room(s) on fire, and there was no damage done, no harm no foul?)

In the spirit of the Burleson Hall class of 1987, how about a 10 gallon scorpion bowl?

Hi everybody! No reunions for me, please!

I'll take a DOTD, and some of Kay's deep fried turkeys, sounds so yummy, so does the homemade mac and cheese.

I do hope everybody is doing okay. Debbie, are you feeling okay tonight? I hope so.

    Willie

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!

What am I doing? Well, what does it look like I am doing! I got busted for passing notes in class and now I have to write "I will not pass notes in class" over and over again and fill up this whole blackboard!

Actually something very similar did happen to me in Ohio. I went to a Catholic school and had this nun who had it in for me the day she met me. We were moving to California and on the VERY last day I had to attend that school she made me write something dumb over and over on the blackboard.
Kinda funny now that you think about it. I wonder if kids have to do that now - do they still have blackboards? Yes, I guess they do.

Catland - did you wear those blue plaid pants in Hawaii? Did you have wine spilled on them there too?

I have NEVER, EVER attended even one of my reunions. I always heard how awful they were - and I heard that my name was on the "lost" list. Now that figures doesn't it? Laurie - leave it alone!! Although I do have several high school friends that I get together with every six months or so. I told them if they ever turned me in and I became "found" I would never speak to them again.

Really nice clothes everyone - Deb - great jacket - wow - and look at your pants bottoms. You are some bird!!

Hmm, maybe next year's BBQ should have the reunion theme - everyone could bring their yearbook and some pictures. Yes, Byron - there will be a slide show yet!!

The only thing is that I am so old, my yearbooks may have rotted - HA!

Well, I know that I am old enough to order a nice large Mai Tai.....thanks Richard.............nice tatoo huh? Betcha couldn't take your eyes off of it.

Here's to our Queen and Mario - that outfit is just to die for!!

I haven't joined you guys on Thursdays in a long time. I think I'm ready today!!!

Two weeks ago, I drug my poor husband to my 25th high school reunion. Class of 1980!!! I went to a small, private school and we only had 52 in our whole graduating class. I thought this reunion would be well attended, but it wasn't. We've had one every 5 years since we graduated and I haven't missed a single one. I always enjoy catching up with my old friends, although I don't keep in touch with them in between very much. My mom keeps me up to date on them since so many still live in my hometown.

Poor Scott indulged me.....he didn't know a soul!

Richard, I don't like coconut, but if you make me a Mai Tai, without it, I'd love it!!!

Gee Willikers, for some strange reason I woke this morning singing "Bell Bottom Blues". Can't imagine why When I started playing air guitar and doing my best Derrick and the Dominos moves the dogs decided it wasn't all that wet and rainy outside after all Coffee's on folks and the Canadian bacon is starting to crisp up. Scrambled or poached? HI LOGAN!! Long time no see

    Logan, are you my twin?!!?

Two weeks ago I had my 25th class reunion - class of 1980. I went to a public school, but it was a small rural community so we had about 120 in my graduating class - about 30 showed up at the reunion. Terry escorted me, even though he knew no one. We have our reunions every 5 years and I've only missed one because the organizer's computer crashed so they lost everyone's address and I never got an invite so I didn't even know it was going on until it was over with. I don't like coconut but would love a Mai Tai without it. I have an adorable elderly long haired kitty. No dogs now, but we had a few while I was growing up....anything else we have in common?

    'Morning everyone!

Bright sunny day here in Chi-town, and the Sox won - controversial or not - so Chi-town is feeling pretty good today. And......it's Yom Kippur so the boss is in temple all day!

Tray, thanks for asking. I generally feel ok. Sometimes I'm kind of tired, and somtimes my neck is just.....achy?...but generally I feel ok. Last night I was beat because I had to get up at 5:00 am to get Terry to the airport....

Anyway, I've blabbed enough. I've got the coffee going, so all we need is Slick so we can add some Baileys to it, and I made some sticky buns too. Haven't made them in a long time so I hope they turned out ok......

Good morning all! Any coffee? Okay, I am wearing bell bottoms today! Of course my kids has got me into wearing them again. Does that count?

Hope all are feeling well and having a grand time this morning! My house has now got sheetrock in it, and vents for the cooling and heating! I am getting more excited all them time now! Soon, very soon! (I hope)
